Hello everyone!
I am delighted to introduce Dr David Antognini as our new Hot Case Central Coordinator. He will be helping coordinate hot case practices around the state going forward and is starting to put together preparations for the upcoming March/May sitting – so stay tuned!
David is an Intensivist at Monash Health, having moved to Melbourne from Queensland a year ago. He has an extensive background and interest in ICU education and training, previously working with both the College and the Queensland state training pathway. I’m very grateful to him for the new energy and ideas he is bringing to the role and to Hot Case Central. I’m sure David will be off to a flying start soon and you will all get to know him well.
Please see the new Hot Case Central flyer attached with David’s details on it. Please feel free to forward this to friends or colleagues planning to sit the Fellowship exam.
I’d like to take this opportunity to once again say a big thank you those consultants and fellows that provide our hot case practices. Hot Case Central would not exist without their generous commitment of time and energy. I know I speak on behalf of the many Fellowship exam candidates who have benefitted from the app over the past 5 years – your contribution is immensely appreciated and never forgotten.
I believe we have made a really positive contribution to Victorian CICM training and trainee support with this Hot Case Central project, and I am confident this will continue under David’s leadership. I feel proud and humbled by our achievements and our sense of community, over some difficult years, as I step back from this role to allow some new ideas and inspiration under David.
Thank you in advance for your support as David steps in the role.
Take care and thank you,
Emily Harman
